Job Description:
This is a corporate position that is primarily concerned with developing and implementing environmental and sustainability strategy and tactics across Sims Australia and New Zealand business. Key to this role is to implement the requirements of the Global Environment and Sustainability policies and goals, and effectively manage (non-commercial) risks throughout the region’s operations to achieve world-class performance in environment and sustainability.
The Environment and Sustainability Manager ANZ will build relationships with and routinely liaise with the senior managers, EHS managers, and other Sims employees. The Environment and Sustainability Manager ANZ will need to develop an effective working relationship with appropriate statutory authorities and take part in a range of industry forums and groups.
The role will require a reasonable amount of travel to ANZ locations, and potentially to other global locations within the Sims organisation.
