A number of significant changes to environment laws are expected to take place in 2012 that will impact industry, business and councils across Australia.  This important seminar will focus on the details of those changes to new environmental laws, industry obligations and requirements (Federal, Victorian and New South Wales), including initiatives expected in 2012 – providing you with the opportunity to plan ahead.  The aim of this seminar is to keep you at the forefront of your environmental obligations.

The Seminar will provide details on:

  • Federal, Victorian and New South Wales environmental and energy legislative changes expected in 2012
  • Future directions of EPA NSW and EPA Victoria and the intiatives to be developed and delivered in 2012, that also relates to the Clean Energy Futures legislation
  • Changes expected to the National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting Scheme (NGERS) in 2012, and how it will relate to the Clean Energy Futures legislation
  • New Work Health and Safety Laws that relate to hazardous chemicals and dangerous goods – effective 1 January 2012
  • Details of the Product Stewardship (Televisions & Computers) Regulations 2011 that came into effect on 8 November 2011
  • Changes to the Victorian state policy framework – State Environment Protection Policies (SEPPs) and Waste Management Policies (WMPs)
  • Changes and implementation of the NEPM (Assessment of Site Contamination) 2011
  • Findings and recommendations of the Victorian Auditor-General’s audit report on Managing Site Contamination in Victoria;
