The QLD Government has released the End of Waste Code (EOW) for Ferrous Slag that states when the ferrous slag becomes a resource and any relevant requirements and/or conditions for its use.
The EOW for Ferrous Slag states that if the ferrous slag is not being used in accordance with the relevant requirements and/or conditions of this EOW code, it is considered a waste under section 8AA of the WRR Act and must be disposed of appropriately at a facility that is lawfully able to receive the waste.
