NSW EPA is providing updated information on managing asbestos contaminated sites.
NSW EPA has not changed the way they assess contaminated land in NSW. NSW EPA received feedback from Industry and the community on their position statement, as feedback suggested that additional clarity was required about what is allowed under the current regulatory framework for remediation projects.
NSW EPA advises that they will continue to review this information and provide updates when available on their website.
