The Department of Water and Environmental Regulation has amended and released its November 2023 Compliance Priorities 2023-24 report.
The report outlines the Department’s compliance monitoring subprograms and priorities for the period from 1 July 2023 to 30 June 2024.
It has been amended and re-published to address the December 2023 exemption of Alcoa of Australia Limited from compliance with s.41A of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 which would otherwise prohibit Alcoa from implementing a proposal under assessment by the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA).
