Covering recent changes, such as: 

  • Ongoing implementation of the Victorian OHS Regulations 2017  as it relates to the Globally Harmonised System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) in Victoria; 
  • Globally Harmonised System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) as it applies to VIC, NSW, QLD, SA, TAS, NT and the Commonwealth; 
  • From 31 March 2018 – ACT comes into line with GHS;
  • Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail 7.4 Edition (ADG 7.5) – effective 1 MARCH 2018; covering changes to Minor Quantity Labelling and much more…
  • Significant changes brought about through the update of Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail 7.5 Edition (ADG 7.5);
  • Alignment of AS 1940:2017 The Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids with GHS obligations.


Organisations have an obligation to ensure their site is compliant with Dangerous Goods laws and requirements and that staff receive appropriate training to ensure the safe Storage, Handling and Transport of Dangerous Goods.  The Australian Environment Business Network (AEBN) recommends that staff receive refresher training every 2 to 3 years and certainly when changes are announced.

Upon Completion of the Workshop
