The South Australian Government has announced $200,000 in funding through Green Industries SA for recycling projects.
Grants of up to $20,000 per project are available, with Green Industries SA providing 50 per cent of the project costs for successful applicants. The funding will support metropolitan and regional local government and waste educators delivering recycling, resource reuse and correct kerbside bin use education for South Australian householders.
Eligible projects are those which:
- improve the use of kerbside recycling systems by householders in South Australia;
- improve the quality of recycled materials collected by councils at kerbside by reducing contaminants; and
- reduce the amount of recycled materials incorrectly placed in the waste bin.
