The NSW Department of Planning and Environment (DPE) has released their April Compliance Report showing 47 inspections across the state to ensure approval conditions are being met by companies.
Compliance officers review reports, conduct audits and spot checks, as well as work with companies to ensure they are complying with the conditions of approval for projects. The Department can issue the highest on-the-spot fines in the country for breaches of conditions.
Enforcement activities, including orders, penalty notices, fines and prosecutions were issued to a number of companies and are a reminder to all businesses to ensure that they comply strictly with their approval conditions.
