The Clean Energy Finance Corporation (CEFC) has released a report on clean energy opportunities for local government.
The report provides a brief guide to councils on clean energy investment opportunities and how the CEFC finance program for local government can assist with this investment.
The report also suggests ways that councils can identify and implement clean energy opportunities, including the use of specialist energy consultants to conduct energy audits, working with other councils to share knowledge and resources, and appointing a sustainability officer or team to identify energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities across the portfolio of assets held by the council.
