DRAFT GUIDELINE – Master planning for priority ports

The Queensland Government has released the Draft Guideline: Master Planning for priority ports which includes Gladstone, Abbot Point, Townsville, and Hay Point/Mackay – for public comment.
The guideline outlines a strategic framework for implementing priority port master planning and represents a non-statutory reference for all stakeholders including state government, priority ports, local government and the community.
The guideline is in line with the Sustainable Ports Development Act 2015 and is a state government port-related action of the Reef 2050 Long-Term Sustainability Plan.
