AEBN® prepared this submission as it should be the guidance for waste management across NSW for the next 12 years. A major concern is the expected price increases in waste disposal and treatment costs over the net 10 years. AEBN® expects increases in the order of 40% to 60% or more.
In addition the number of suitable waste facilities for some industrial wastes are not being replaced to treat these wastes. AEBN® calls for more effective waste infrastructure to manage all waste streams in an environmentally satisfactory and cost-effective manner. Many other issues are discussed in the submission.
