**COVERING – RECENT CHANGES TO THE VICTORIAN OHS REGULATIONS INCORPORATING THE NEW ‘GLOBALLY HARMONISED SYSTEM FOR THE CLASSIFICATION AND LABELLING OF CHEMICALS (GHS)’ IN VICTORIA; THE NEW ‘AUSTRALIAN CODE FOR THE TRANSPORT OF DANGEROUS GOODS BY ROAD AND RAIL EDITION 7.5 (ADG7.5)’ AND MUCH MORE** The Australian Environment Business Network (AEBN) has developed the Introductory Level to Dangerous Goods, Hazardous Substances and GHS Workshop to bring you up to speed with recent changes to the Victorian OHS Regulations 2017 that have mandated the Globally Harmonised System for the Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) in Victoria; the new Australian Code for the Transport of Dangerous Goods by Road and Rail that MUST be implemented by 1 March 2018, as well as the Identification, Classification, Safety Data Sheets and Labeling of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances. Organisations have an obligation to ensure all staff that come into contact with chemicals receive appropriate training for the safe storage, handling and transport of Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Substances. CONTAMINATED LAND WORKSHOP: Mitigating Risks associated with Contaminated Land Management – Oct 26, 2017

Site contamination remains a significant legal and commercial issue for landowners, occupiers, developers, sellers, purchasers and councils dealing with the management of contaminated land. The Workshop will provide the most up to date information to prevent the pitfalls which can often be experienced by those involved in managing contaminated land. The Workshop is designed to bring you up to speed with the latest contaminated land laws and requirements from across Australia, including emerging contaminants such as PFAS (the two most well know are PFOS (perfluorooctane sulphonate) and PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) and Asbestos in soil and related issues; as well as best practice options for the management of contaminated land.
