RISK ASSESSMENT FOR DANGEROUS GOODS WORKSHOP

13 October 2010
8.45am (Registrations) for 9.00am - 12.30pm

Venue:  Mantra on Russell, 222 Russell Street MELBOURNE

Presented by the
Australian Environment Business Network (AEBN)

Dangerous Goods legislation across Australia places an obligation on the users of dangerous goods to conduct Risk Assessments and to properly manage the risks associated with the use of dangerous goods chemicals.  The safe management of dangerous goods at manufacturing, industrial and sites in general, is through the identification of hazards, and the quantification and management of risks.
For many, the process of conducting a Risk Assessment can be daunting.  The AEBN Risk Assessment for Dangerous Goods Workshop will provide participants with the necessary tools to mange the Risk Assessment process.
The Workshop will cover:
  • Why undertake a Risk Assessment
  • Hazard identification
  • Assessing risk and factors affecting risk
  • Different options of documenting a risk assessment
  • Quantifying risk
  • Controlling risk
  • Managing the process
  • Sources of information
  • Case studies
