This Workshop is designed to assist industry, business and councils to understand their obligations under the National Pollutant Inventory (NPI) requirements, and provide practical guidance that will assist you in preparing and submitting your reports by 30 September 2010
Each year a number of organisations struggle to capture, interpret and report appropriate information to the NPI.  For certain industrial facilities, information about pollutants are required to be reported by 30 September of each year to EPA. Reporting is mandatory for those facilities that trigger the reporting threshold. Penalties will apply for late and non reporters.  The Workshop will provide:

While trade waste disposal remains the most cost effective means of disposal of liquid waste for organisations, a number of companies have found significant benefits through harvesting this waste stream for reuse within their industrial processes.  Optimising your trade waste treatment plant will ensure compliance with trade waste regulation and may enable greater waste water reuse within your organisation.

From 1 January 2010, industry must  demonstrate national compliance of the Australian Dangerous Goods Code 7th Edition (ADG7).  This Introductory Workshop has been designed to provide information on Dangerous Goods Storage and Handling obligations and procedures.  The Workshop is most relevant to those personnel who have a basic or general understanding of Dangerous Goods Storage and Handling requirements.  
The Workshop will cover:

INTERMEDIATE LEVEL - DANGEROUS GOODS STORAGE & HANDLING WORKSHOP - PM Half Day, 7 October 2010
Effective from 1 January 2010, the Australian Dangerous Goods Code 7th Edition (ADG7) replaced ADG6 and national compliance is now mandatory.  Organisations must also be able to demonstrate compliance with the Dagnerous Goods (Storage & Handling) Regulations 2000.  Compliance includes providing appropriate training to your staff who use or handle dangerous goods, and that appropratie training for hazard identification, risk control mechanisms and risk assessment for your staff has been completed.
