FUNDING OPPORTUNTY – Resource productivity assessments and trade waste implementation grants for food and beverage industries

Green Industries South Australia is offering grants to eligible commercial businesses for resource productivity assessments and trade waste implementation projects.

 

Resource Productivity Assessments –

 

Resource productivity assessments will identify opportunities for improving the way trade waste, energy, materials and water are managed, and will recommend areas for improvement to enhance business productivity and performance.

 

Now in its second round, the grants will cover up to 50%, to a maximum of $10,000 (GST exclusive) of the assessment cost. To be eligible applicants must be a commercial business operating in SA and comply with specified trade waste volume and load-based thresholds.

Trade Waste Implementation Grants –

 

Trade waste implementation grants are on offer to eligible SA Water food and beverage customers to support implementation activities that will improve trade waste management by reducing the volume and/or quality of trade waste.

 

The trade waste implementation grants will offer a subsidy of up to 50%, to a maximum of $300,000 (GST exclusive) to successful applicants for approved implementation activities. 

 

To be eligible, applicants must be a current SA Water trade waste food and beverage customer, or a food or beverage business planning to connect to the SA Water trade waste (sewer) network within 24 months of application, and comply with specified trade waste volume and load-based thresholds. Applicants must also have completed an approved resource productivity assessment or on-site technology trials to determine a trade waste solution that is well suited to the business site.
